M i l k M o o n is an old name for the full moon in May. Spring is a time of coming up into the world from winter’s womb. Persephone makes the journey back into the bright world from Hades; lovers come together and jump over the Beltane fire wearing stag’s horns; crocuses unfurl and the world becomes wild, tangled, and fertile. This issue of Hill Lily is about finding structures in which to process transitions in the life/death cycles we experience in nature, our bodies, and our spirits.
